henry

Lisa, my sweet friend/mentor and fellow Australian Shepherd lover, sent me a surprise in the mail - the children's book Henry the Dog with No Tail by Kate Feiffer.  The book is clever and wise and all about Henry, an Australian Shepherd who learns to love himself in spite of the fact that he, unlike his friends, does not have a tail.

Aussies are extraordinary dogs, and while the wagging of a tail often insinuates giddy happiness in a pup, this breed finds other ways to display their amicability.  For instance, they shake their entire bottom.

Thank you Lisa!  You teach me how to be a thoughtful person.
